Clones vs. Brand name golf clubs: part I
One post won’t do this topic justice, but I wanted to start sharing some of my thoughts on the subject of clone golf clubs vs. name brand golf clubs. Let’s start by letting the cat out of the bag; I think that clone golf clubs warrent a very close look by anyone in the market for new clubs.
Several years ago, I caught the golf bug after not having played since my youth. I had some hand-me-down golf clubs from my father - a set of wilson irons, complete with persimmon drivers. They served me well early on but they quickly started to fall apart due to age. So, what to do? One thing I knew was that I couldn’t afford to spend $500-$1,000 on a new set of brand name clubs. So, maybe used golf clubs.
